I was just Frontin'

I was really pleased and proud to have had my work featured on the front pages of three magazines in recent weeks. This is one of the best parts of my job and always brings a smile to my face on seeing some of these publications on display at the various businesses I visit.

Shooting the cover feature for Aycliffe Business took place in November at an open day at South West Durham Training. The most difficult part of this shoot was trying to convince the young female apprentice to take part. Fortunately she agreed in the end and proved vital for the balance of the image for its composition, and to show that the courses on offer were for all.
Delivered is an internal magazine for staff at Gist. This haulage firm works with Marks & Spencer, transporting its food stock around the country. This photoshoot centred around the company's move towards a more sustainable fuel source for their vehicles. A sunny January morning in Barnsley was very welcome and three willing drivers patiently braved the cold to allow me to get the shots I needed.
The focus of the third cover shoot - Tees Business magazine - was Rachel Burke, a director at Billingham-based industrial technology firm Tracerco, and current Tees Businesswoman of the Year. A striking blue suit made her really stand out in the images I shot. The building's modern interior also helped, with a spacious reception area giving us plenty of scope for a variety of backgrounds.
I feel very lucky to do the job I do and the opportunities it gives me to be creative and meet new people. A massive thank you to all of those involved in front of the camera, and to those who commissioned me in the first place - you know who you are!
