From memory, it was a day that filled me with dread, going into school to collect my A level results that would subsequently determine where I would be spending the next part of my life. I didn't quite get the grades I wanted but I did have a fantastic three years in Liverpool making new friends and getting to know the city.
I felt sympathy, therefore, when the students poured into the library of Queen Elizabeth College in Darlington yesterday morning to discover their fates. Fortunately from my point of view, I was tasked with capturing the positive emotions of seeing those significant grades for the first time, and thankfully, success appeared to be the order of the day.
