Not such a Light Load

I love my job for the opportunities it gives me, the people I get to meet and the places I visit. What is out of my control is the areas in which I have to work in, often low on light or not conducive to attractive photography. That is where I earn my crust so to speak and use my experience as a photographer to know what will work and how.

For several years now I have carried two portable studio lights to the majority of my assignments as part of my kit. I don't make use of them on every job, but the flexibility and additional options available to me from having them makes the extra weight worthwhile. Perhaps my back would disagree but having that extra level of confidence from my weighty flashes when raising the camera to my eye is invaluable.
