Off-Field Antics

It was great to be back covering football recently as I was invited to assist my former Northern Echo colleague and now club photographer for Middlesbrough FC, Tom Banks. Often the activity surrounding a match can be just as eye catching as the main event itself. One of my tasks at the Riverside Stadium was to capture shots of the spectators. Emotions and decibel levels were running high as the resident fans competed with their visiting opponents - Leeds United - belting out an array of chants and songs. A spectacle in itself adding to the excitement and interest of the so-called beautiful game.
