It's been fascinating to watch the ITV drama, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe. Back in my days as a staff photographer on The Northern Echo, I used to spend a lot of time hanging around outside the various Magistrates' and Crown Courts of the North East. I covered part of this case and photographed the main protagonist on one occasion as shown below:
